Both files live on your device.
No upload, no cloud.
Modern lossless in, vintage uncompressed out — for legacy tools that only speak Windows bitmaps. Conversion runs instantly in your browser tab — no upload, no cloud, no per-seat ladder.
Lossless source. Every pixel exact.
Predictable byte layout. Windows-shaped. Legacy-tool-friendly.
No upload, no cloud.
Each PNG becomes a BMP in parallel.
PNG is what BMP would have been if it were designed for the modern web. Going the other direction — PNG to BMP — only makes sense when something downstream specifically wants raw uncompressed pixels in the Windows-bitmap byte order. We do that conversion locally so the file never has to round-trip through someone else's server.
Some industrial software, embedded systems, and legacy Windows applications only accept BMP. PNG → BMP is the predictable raw-pixel handoff.
Yes — BMP is uncompressed, PNG uses DEFLATE. Expect 2–4× size increase.
Standard 24-bit BMP doesn't carry alpha. The transparent areas become solid background. For alpha-preserving output, use PNG → PNG (which is a no-op).
Yes. Drop a folder; each PNG becomes a BMP.
For 24-bit RGB content, yes. For PNGs with alpha, the alpha is dropped (BMP limitation).
