Why not just use a recorder that uploads

Most browser recorders are front ends for a hosting service: the video streams to their servers as you record, and "your" recording is a page on their site. That is fine for a public demo and wrong for anything with a customer's data, a password field or an unreleased screen. Framecast records to browser memory, edits there, and encodes the final file on your CPU. There is nothing to delete later because nothing was sent.

What the editor does

Auto-zoom on clicks — the frame moves in on where you click and eases back out, the way a good tutorial is cut by hand.
Camera bubble — position, shape, corner radius and background, including chroma green for a clean cut-out.
Tighten — removes filler and silence so a ten-minute walkthrough becomes the six minutes that matter.
Chapters, annotations and captions — markers a viewer can jump to, arrows and highlights on the frame, and captions rendered into the video.

Choose what to record — Pick the whole screen, a window or a tab. Turn on your camera bubble and microphone if you want them, and set the camera's position and shape.
Record — Press record. A short countdown lets you breathe before it rolls. Everything is captured into browser memory on your device.
Edit — Trim the ends, run Tighten to drop filler and silence, add auto-zoom on clicks, chapters, annotations and captions, and pick a cover frame.
Export — Export an MP4 or a GIF. The file is encoded on your computer and downloads to your disk with no watermark.
