You have a PDF and you need the text inside it. Maybe it's a contract you want to quote, a report you need to reference, or a document you want to paste into an email. Morph pulls the text out of your PDF in seconds — right in your browser.
Most online PDF tools require you to upload your document to a remote server. That's fine for a flyer, but not for a contract, a medical record, or a financial report. Morph takes a different approach.
How it works
Morph uses Mozilla's pdf.js library to parse the PDF entirely inside your browser. It reads the text content layer and outputs clean, readable plain text — all without sending a single byte to any server.
What you get
Morph extracts the text content from your PDF and saves it as a plain text (.txt) file. Paragraphs and line breaks are preserved where possible. The extracted text is clean and ready to use in any application.
What extracts well
Text-heavy documents — reports, essays, articles, resumes, letters — extract cleanly. Any PDF created digitally (typed, not scanned) has a text layer that Morph can read accurately.
Scanned documents or image-based PDFs don't have a text layer. For those, use Morph's Image to Text (OCR) tool, which reads text from images using AI.
Why privacy matters for document conversion
Think about what's in your PDFs: contracts with personal information, bank statements, tax documents, medical records, client proposals. Every time you upload one to a free converter, that document passes through someone else's server.
This isn't just a privacy talking point. It also means extraction is faster — no upload wait, no download wait. The file processes locally and saves directly to your computer.
Free, no limits
There's no account to create, no daily conversion limit, and no watermark on the output. Extract text from as many PDFs as you need. Morph is free for all core tools.
