Video Editor

Flowcut, in your browser.

A non-linear video editor with multi-track timeline, LUT color grading, color scopes, and 7 export presets. No download, no upload, no watermark.

BY MORPH5 MIN READUPDATED APRIL 2026

Most "free" online video editors aren't free. They add watermarks. They cap resolution at 720p. They upload your footage to their servers.

Flowcut is different. It's a browser-based non-linear video editor built into Morph. Multi-track timeline, LUT color grading, 7 export presets, speed ramping. No download, no upload, no watermark. Your video files never leave your device.

What you get

Multi-Track Timeline

Video, audio, and text tracks. Cut, trim, reorder clips. Magnetic snapping keeps everything aligned.

LUT Color Grading

Import .cube LUT files or use built-in presets: Cinematic, Vintage, High Contrast.

Export Presets

YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, GIF, WebM, Custom. One click to the format you need.

Color Scopes

Waveform, RGB parade, histogram, vectorscope. The same tools colorists use in pro suites.

Speed Control

6 playback speeds from 0.25x to 4x, plus speed ramping with keyframe curves.

Audio Scope

Real-time frequency meters with L/R channel monitoring. See levels as you edit.

Every frame stays on your device. Flowcut uses FFmpeg WebAssembly to process video entirely in your browser. No server upload. No cloud rendering. No data collection.

How it compares

There are other browser-based video editors. Here's how Flowcut stacks up:

vs the free app

The free app is popular and feature-rich, but your video files are uploaded to its cloud infrastructure. For personal footage, home videos, or anything you'd rather keep private, that's a tradeoff worth considering. Flowcut's equivalent features are free.

vs the OS-bundled editor

The OS-bundled editor is convenient if you're already in that ecosystem, but the free tier limits export quality and adds watermarks on certain features. There's no LUT support, no color scopes, no speed ramping. And you still need an account with its maker.

vs the desktop colour suite

The free desktop colour suite is the gold standard for color grading. It's also a 2 GB download that requires a powerful desktop machine and a steep learning curve. If you're a professional colorist or editor working on feature films, use it. If you need to trim a clip, add a LUT, and export for social media in 30 seconds, Flowcut handles that without installing anything.

vs the subscription NLE

The subscription NLE costs. It's a professional NLE built for broadcast and film. If your job title is "video editor," it is the industry standard. For everyone else cutting social content, trimming screen recordings, or making GIFs, Flowcut does the job for $0.

What makes Flowcut different

Privacy by architecture. Flowcut runs on FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Every cut, every color grade, every export happens in your browser tab. Your footage never touches a server.

No account wall. Open morph.cool/video-editor, drop a file, start editing. No signup form between you and your timeline.

Professional-grade color tools. LUT support with .cube file import, 3 built-in presets, and 4 color scope modes. Most browser editors don't even have a waveform monitor. Flowcut has a vectorscope with skin tone line.

Smart GIF export. Flowcut uses two-pass palette optimization via FFmpeg's palettegen and paletteuse filters. Smaller file sizes and better colors than single-pass GIF encoding.

Who Flowcut is for

Flowcut is part of Morph, which includes 300+ browser tools — file conversion, Morph Artboard (photo editor), PDF tools, and more. All free, all private.
