2. Draw with mouse, trackpad, or finger — or type your name and pick a handwriting font.
3. Tune stroke weight, ink color, and smoothing. Crop to a tight bounding box if you want.
4. Export as transparent PNG (works in nearly every PDF and document tool) or SVG (scales without quality loss).
5. The file lands in your downloads. Nothing was uploaded; nothing was logged.

Why most signature tools feel hostile

The free tier on most signature sites is a dressed-up email-capture funnel: draw a single line, click export, then watch a modal demand your email "to send the file." The e-signature services are excellent for legally binding workflows with audit trails, but they're overkill (and overpriced) when all you need is a transparent PNG to drop into a PDF.
