How it works

  1. Open morph.cool/decision-matrix in any modern browser. No install, no account, no card.
  2. Add your options — the things you're choosing between (vendors, candidates, designs, cities).
  3. Add criteria — the things that matter (cost, speed, quality, risk, fit). Set a weight 0–100 per criterion.
  4. Score each option against each criterion (0–10). Totals update live.
  5. Sort by total. Export as PDF, PNG, or CSV. Share or archive.

Why most decision-making tools fail

The pros-and-cons doc is the default and it's terrible — it strips out the weights, treats every concern as equal, and rewards whoever wrote the most paragraphs. The "let's just talk it through" meeting drifts toward whoever speaks loudest. A weighted decision matrix forces you to (a) name the criteria, (b) admit which ones matter most, and (c) score every option against every criterion. That last step is where bad decisions die: when you have to put a 3 next to your favorite option on a criterion that scores 8, the math reveals the bias the prose was hiding.
