Photo workflow

Lightcraft

A complete photo workflow in your browser. Cull, develop, organize — without ever uploading a file. RAW files open through their embedded preview; every edit is non-destructive.

What Lightcraft does

Lightcraft is Morph's photo workflow. Drop a folder of photos (JPEG, PNG, HEIC, or RAW — CR2 / NEF / ARW / DNG, which open through the full-size preview the camera embeds; the sensor data is not demosaiced), and Lightcraft becomes the workspace for everything that comes next: rating, flagging, organizing, color-correcting. Your files never leave your device. Adjustments are stored as edit metadata in your browser's IndexedDB — the original file stays untouched.

The modes

Library

Catalog grid + filmstrip view of every photo you've imported. Star ratings, pick/reject flags, smart collections by date, people, or connection.

Develop

Non-destructive adjustment workspace. Basic / Light / Color / Effects / Detail / Optics / Geometry / Masking panels. Stack adjustments without touching the original pixels.

Print

Single image, contact sheet and smart-package layouts, rendered to JPEG pages or sent to the browser's print dialog.

Assisted Culling

Cull a burst sequence in seconds. Lightcraft's Assisted Culling mode groups a burst by visual similarity, scores each frame on sharpness, exposure and contrast, and recommends the keeper. Runs entirely in your browser, no upload.

Bring your catalog (.xmp sidecars — welcome home)

Lightcraft reads .xmp sidecar files natively. Drop a .xmp next to your RAW, Lightcraft restores the same adjustments, and it writes a standard XMP .xmp back out. Catalog files (.lrcat) are not read.

Privacy. Photos never leave your device. Only adjustment metadata (a small JSON blob describing your edits) is stored — and only in your local browser's IndexedDB, not on Morph's servers.
