Every conversion listed on this page runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded to a server. Video and audio conversions use FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Image conversions use native browser APIs. Even AI-powered features like Select Subject run locally.
Tips
- Best quality — always convert from the original source, not a previously-converted copy.
- Transparency — use PNG or WEBP. JPEG does not support transparent backgrounds.
- Smallest file size — WEBP for images, MP4 (H.264) for video, OPUS for audio.
- Universal compatibility — JPEG for images, MP4 for video, MP3 for audio, PDF for documents.
- Web fonts — WOFF2 offers the best compression for self-hosted fonts.
- Audio from video — any video format can extract audio to MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, or OGG.
