Morph's New Browse Experience: 300+ Tools, Zero Clutter

Morph has over 300 tools. File conversion, image editing, PDF manipulation, video trimming, QR generation, color picking, data formatting, font conversion, and dozens more. That number is a strength, but it is also a design problem. If you cannot find the tool you need in two seconds, having 300 of them is no better than having none.

The old Browse page listed tools in a flat grid. It worked when Morph had 40 tools. At 300, it became a phone book. You scrolled, you squinted, you gave up and used the dock instead. That experience was not good enough.

The new Browse page is a complete redesign. It is built around one idea: every tool should be reachable in under two seconds, whether you know what you are looking for or you are just exploring.

What Changed

The redesigned Browse page opens with a single headline set in Cormorant Garamond: "Every tool. One tab." Below it, the page unfolds into four distinct sections, each designed for a different kind of user intent.

At the top, three featured gradient cards spotlight the tools that define Morph: Morph Artboard (the full image editor), Flowcut (the video editor), and the QR code generator. Each card has a subtle hover animation — a slight lift and scale — that makes the whole page feel responsive and alive without being distracting. On mobile, these cards shrink to fit cleanly in a horizontal scroll at 220px wide.

Below the featured cards, a row of popular conversion pills shows the most common file conversions: PNG to JPEG, MP4 to MP3, HEIC to JPG, PDF to Text, and WebP to PNG. These are one-tap shortcuts to the conversion pairs people search for most. No menus, no dropdowns. Tap the pill, drop a file, done.

Further down, category cards organize every tool into browsable groups. Each card has a colored left border (3px solid, unique per category), a format count badge, and a conversion pair count. Image tools, video tools, audio tools, document tools, developer tools, data tools — each category is a destination, not a filter.

Search That Actually Works

The search bar sits near the top of the page. It reads "Search 300+ tools..." and filters the entire tool directory in real time as you type. There is no submit button. There is no loading spinner. Every keystroke narrows the results instantly because the search runs entirely client-side against the tools array.

When the search input is focused, a subtle orange glow appears around it — the same #FF5200 accent that runs through every active state in Morph. A small clear button appears when text is entered, so you can reset the search with a single tap instead of selecting and deleting.

This is deliberately simple. There is no fuzzy matching, no ranking algorithm, no AI-powered suggestion engine. It is a text filter over a flat list. It works because the tool names and descriptions are written clearly, and because client-side filtering at this scale is effectively instant. Sometimes the best search experience is the one with zero latency.

Categories as Destinations

Most tool directories treat categories as filters. You pick a category from a dropdown, and the grid re-renders with a subset. That works, but it flattens the browsing experience into something transactional. You know what you want, you filter, you leave.

The new Browse page treats categories differently. Each category card shows two numbers: the count of supported formats and the count of available conversion pairs. An image tools card does not just say "Image" — it tells you there are 15+ formats and 80+ conversion pairs available. That context turns a label into an invitation to explore.

The cards enter the viewport with staggered animations, each appearing 30 milliseconds after the last. On hover, a glass-panel effect activates: a multi-layer box-shadow combined with a backdrop blur creates a depth effect that makes the card feel like it is lifting off the surface. These are not decorative flourishes. They are feedback mechanisms that tell you where you are and what you can interact with.

Every animation respects the prefers-reduced-motion media query. If your operating system is set to reduce motion, the stagger and hover effects are disabled. Accessibility is not an afterthought here — it is baked into every interaction.

Featured Tools

The three featured cards at the top of Browse are hand-curated, not algorithmic. There is no popularity ranking, no A/B test, no engagement metric deciding what goes in the hero. The featured tools are chosen because they represent what Morph does best.

Morph Artboard is a full image editor with layers, masks, blend modes, and AI-powered features like generative fill and object removal. Flowcut is a browser-based video editor with timeline editing, color grading, speed ramping, LUT support, and export presets for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and GIF. The QR code generator creates scannable codes instantly with customizable colors and sizes.

These are not the only tools worth highlighting. But curation means making a choice. Three cards, three tools, one clear message: Morph is not just a file converter. It is a creative platform.

Why This Matters

A tool directory with 300 entries is not a product. It is a spreadsheet. The product is what happens between the moment someone opens Browse and the moment they find what they need. That gap should be measured in seconds, not scrolls.

Good tooling is invisible. You search, you find, you use. You do not read documentation. You do not watch a tutorial. You do not create an account. The new Browse page is designed around that principle. Everything on the screen is either helping you find a tool or showing you a tool you did not know existed.

There is no signup wall. There is no upload requirement. Most tools work entirely in your browser with no server involved. Your files stay on your device. That privacy guarantee is not a marketing line — it is the architecture. Morph uses WebAssembly and JavaScript to process files client-side. Nothing touches a server unless you explicitly use an AI feature, and even then, the processing happens on Cloudflare Workers with no storage or logging.

300+ tools in one app is meaningless if you cannot find the one you need. The Browse redesign makes finding the right tool as fast as using it.

If you have not explored what Morph can do beyond file conversion, the Browse page is the place to start. Image compression, video editing, font conversion, metadata extraction, encryption, chart generation, resume building — it is all there, organized and searchable.

Open the Browse page, type what you need, and see what happens. Or do not type anything at all — just scroll. You might find a tool you did not know you needed, like an image compressor that runs entirely in your browser, or a free video editor that exports to GIF with optimized palettes.

Every tool. One tab. Zero clutter.
