You pulled data from an API. Now your project manager wants it in a spreadsheet. Or you need to import records into a database that only accepts CSV. Or you're building a report and Excel is the deliverable. Whatever the reason, you need to turn structured JSON into flat, tabular CSV.
Why JSON to CSV?
JSON is the language of APIs and modern web services. It's great for machines — hierarchical, flexible, self-describing. But humans work in spreadsheets. Databases import CSV. Reporting tools expect tabular data. The gap between JSON and CSV is one of the most common data conversion tasks developers face.
You could write a quick script to handle it. But if you have nested objects, arrays of varying lengths, mixed data types, or null values, that "quick script" gets complicated fast. Morph handles all of these edge cases for you.
How Morph handles it
Morph uses SheetJS under the hood to parse your JSON and generate properly formatted CSV output. It handles the tricky parts automatically:
user.address.city becomes a column header user.address.city.How to convert
Privacy for sensitive data
Developers frequently work with data that should never touch a third-party server: API responses containing user records, authentication tokens, financial transactions, health data, or proprietary business metrics.
This is particularly important if you're working with data subject to GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, or other regulatory frameworks. Client-side processing means there's no data processor agreement needed — the data never leaves your control.
Other data conversions
Morph also supports CSV to JSON, JSON to XML, JSON to YAML, CSV to SQL, XLSX to CSV, and more. All conversions run locally in your browser with the same privacy guarantee.
