Finding the right font shouldn't mean digging through sketchy download sites, dodging fake "free" trials, or worrying about license violations. Morph's font library gives you access to over 1,500 fonts — all legally free, all available in every format you need.

Browse by category

The library is organized into five categories so you can find what you're looking for quickly:

Serif — Classic, elegant typefaces for print, editorial design, and long-form reading. Think Playfair Display, Lora, and Merriweather.
Sans-Serif — Clean, modern fonts for interfaces, headlines, and digital-first design. Includes Inter, Poppins, Raleway, and more.
Display — Bold, decorative typefaces built for headlines, posters, and branding. High-impact faces that demand attention.
Handwriting — Script, cursive, and calligraphic fonts for invitations, greeting cards, and designs that need a personal touch.
Monospace — Developer favorites for code editors and terminals. JetBrains Mono, Fira Code, Source Code Pro, and other programmer staples.

Preview before you download

Every font in the library has a live preview. Type your own text to see exactly how the font looks with your content before you commit to downloading. Adjust size, see different weights, and compare options side by side.

How to download

Step 1: Visit morph.cool/free-fonts and browse or search for a font.
Step 2: Click on a font to preview it with custom text.
Step 3: Click the download button. Choose TTF, OTF, WOFF, or WOFF2.

Need a different format? Morph can convert between font formats instantly. Download a TTF and convert it to WOFF2 for your website, or grab an OTF and convert it to TTF for system installation.

All legally free

Every font in the Morph library comes from open-source collections and is licensed under the SIL Open Font License or similar permissive licenses. That means you can use them freely in:

Personal projects — school work, personal websites, social media graphics.
Commercial work — client projects, product packaging, marketing materials, apps.
Web development — self-hosted web fonts in WOFF2 for optimal performance.

No attribution required. No usage limits. No licensing fees. Ever.

Why WOFF2 for the web?

If you're building a website, use WOFF2. It's roughly 30% smaller than TTF thanks to Brotli compression, which means faster page loads and better Core Web Vitals scores. Every modern browser supports it. Morph can convert any TTF or OTF font to WOFF2 instantly — see our TTF to WOFF2 guide for details.
